Pre-Employment Qualifications:  Obtain TWIC Card & pass Pre-Employment Physical & DOT Drug Test.  For all potential employees being considered for a “driving positions” they must pass the DOT Drug Test and have the approval of our Vehicle Insurance Carrier  {XL Insurance} with a “clear” MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).  They must also pass a road test monitored by an approved Lorco licensed driver.

The Parts Washer Driver Position has multiply responsibilities that include the following: Drive a box truck delivering drums of fluid (i.e. antifreeze, windshield washer, parts washer solvent), parts washer units/parts and absorbent pads.  The position also requires the individual to collect drums of used oil filters, waste parts washer solvent, and recollect used empty drums.  This individual must also be able to manage and accurately maintain the invoices and associated paper work requirements.  The physical characteristics of this job require the following:

  • The ability to work a minimum 8 hour day, (5 days a week) with the time divided between driving and stopping at customers’ sites to service their needs and cold callings.
  • The strength to repeatedly climb into & out of both the truck and the truck’s box.
  • Absolutely, must have a “Clear” Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Perform a Pre and Post – Trip Inspection on the truck you were provided.

  • Gloves – Cut resistant gloves (i.e. kevlar or ata)
  • Hard Hat (when required)
  • Eye Protection, usually safety glasses, possibly goggles a/o face shield
  • Steel toed boots, oil resistant & black
  • Bright high visibility illuminated vest or shirt
  • Inclement weather gear rain jacket & rubber boots (when necessary)

Tractor Trailer Driver

Pre-Employment Qualifications:  Obtain TWIC Card & pass Pre-Employment Physical & DOT Drug Test.  Drivers must obtain a DOT medical card.  Drivers must hold a {CDL} Commercial Drivers License – Class A with tanker & hazmat endorsements. Drivers must also have a “clear” MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) and obtain the approval of our Vehicle Insurance Carrier  {XL Insurance}.  Candidates must also pass a road test, including a driver’s pre-trip inspection and the ability to couple and unhook a trailer monitored by an approved Lorco licensed driver.

A Lorco Tractor Trailer Driver has multiply responsibilities that go beyond just driving either a tanker or box trailer. Some of the tasks beyond the driving include loading and unloading product (Fluids – i.e. waste oil, antifreeze, windshield washer, oily water, etc.) in and out of the tanker trailers.  Also, assisting in the loading and unloading of box trailers (mostly drums – empties, or full with used oil filters, solids or waste parts washer solvent).  This individual must also perform daily pre & post trip inspections.  Also, be able to accurately maintain the invoices and associated paper work, including all DOT required documents i.e. Driver’s Daily Log.  The physical characteristics of this job require the following:

  • The ability to work 8-14 hours a day, (usually 5 days a week) with the time divided between driving and stopping at customers’ sites.  Also the ability to be flexible with working hours.
  • Able to work early morning starts when necessary i.e.: 3:30 am, 4:30 am, etc.
  • The strength & ability to repeatedly climb in & out of the truck’s cab, & on top of tanker trailers & into the back of box trailers. All drivers must be able to: climb, squat, crouch, bend, push & pull.
  • The strength to transport with the assist of a drum dolly (manual hand truck)
